Purim Adar 14, 5775
This month on March 5th , we joined our Jewish friends and family around the world to celebrate Purim.
In a nutshell, Purim is to celebrate the remarkable deliverance of the Jews from a Decree against them. Their enemy was Haman. God miraculously put His people, Queen Esther and Mordechai, in place They had favor with the Persian King Ahashuevous. Divine Favor and a Divine Reversal by God, saved the Jews from annihilation. For the whole story read the Book of Esther.
I believe the story in Esther, with Divine Reversal of Decrees against God’s people, is relevant today.
On March3rd, 2015 Prime Minister Netanhahu gave an historic speech to the US Congress. He stated, “We Have Iran, the foremost sponsor of Terrorism, dispatching terror on five continents. Then we have ISIS competing with Iran for the crown of Militant Islam.?
ISIS is moving across the Middle East, killing Christians and Jews (God’s people). We are horrified at the beheadings and the subjugations and terror of men, women and children.
We need to use our power and our voices through every means possible to stop this reign of terror.
We need to use our prayers, our votes, possessions, our wealth, and abilities to mobilize – to stop this enemy!
Queen Esther was willing to go before a Persian monarch on behalf of her people. God was with her.
The Decree was reversed!
May every evil word spoken against Israel, the Jews, the USA, and
Christians fall to the ground.
